I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
